Flying Without Wings was different stories woven together
"

"I enjoyed reading, Flying Without Wings, at times it was uncomfortable reading but then again, given the subject it would never be your cosy novel. This book was different stories woven together, giving each character a different view point on the events occurring throughout the book. I love reading, and I have read many books that have started off good, building interest and then just fizzle out with a bland ending. Paula’s books are never like that, when I have finished reading them I am happy in the knowledge that my time has not been wasted.

A fascinating read spreading over 4 decades

This book will appeal to readers who enjoy symbol mysteries (The Da Vinci Code etc.), crime thrillers and historical stories

"This book will appeal to readers who enjoy symbol mysteries (The Da Vinci Code etc.), crime thrillers and historical stories! The story has two threads which are very cleverly interwoven, a present day murder mystery which includes following up clues to find a historical document and an adventure set in 1492, which explains the origins of the document.

The Grotto's secret will keep fans of all genres keenly turning pages to unravel the tangled truth
"

"With the same, seamless skill as Kate Moss's Labyrinth, Ms Wynne's story slips between two related threads spread across several centuries. She is equally at home writing about the backstage wranglings of a modern-day reality TV show and the plight of wise-women faced with the horrific atrocities of the Spanish Inquisition. Combining elements of mystery, history, action thriller and contemporary romance, The Grotto's secret will keep fans of all genres keenly turning pages to unravel the tangled truth." - Firedancer

"Having read the Grotto's Secret and really enjoyed it. Was really glad to find further books in the set. This one explains a lot of the back history and is well worth reading. The story explains how the legacy comes into being and shows a very strong main character in Elixa which follows down her descendants in the trilogy. Would really recommend. Now going to re-read the trilogy. Who needs sleep!!!" - Susan

"Having read The Torqual Trilogy first, this prequel ties the trilogy together nicely giving an incite to how the whole tale begins. I love Paula's books. I'm not going to give an in depth story guideline as that is what the back of the book is for. All I can say is that I thoroughly recommend all 4 books, read in the correct order, as they are easy to read and follow, tell a magical tale and they are well written." - Angie Ranner

"

Years and years ago I read a novel featuring the Alhambra and have wished to visit ever since. Paula's descriptions were nearly as wonderful as being there, imagination notwithstanding! Ana/Monte and Nina are lovely, strong heroines separated by centuries but with similar quests to understand and protect the Luna Legacy. Both women nearly lose their lives and feel betrayed but soldier on and are rewarded with a knowledge of themselves and riches beyond counting.

"Wow, what can I say, Paula kept me intrigued over two nights with early mornings as I eagerly turned the pages to follow Elixa’s adventures, wondering if Brother Gregoria would be able to carry out his evil plans" - Dianne Boadle

"Parallels with Kate Mosse are appropriate for Paula Wynne and her debut novel, The Grotto’s Secret. Wynne spins a grand tale that stretches over half a millennium, weaving strands of two tales together seamlessly, with the ruthless world of big pharma portrayed against a backdrop of the Spanish Inquisition, their victims mysteriously linked across the centuries."
