The Grotto's Secret Beta Readers
If you love reading thrillers and especially a conspiracy thriller and you like a slice of history splattered in here and there, or get a tingle from being lost in the middle ages, you should love my novel, The Grotto’s Secret.
If you like James Rollins, Steve Berry, TS Learner or Kate Mosse you will enjoy The Grotto's Secret, because it is a fast-paced thriller with international locations and supernatural whispers.
If you love bedding down with a strong female protagonist novel, in The Grotto’s Secret you'll be swept along with a workaholic businesswoman, who inadvertently gets tangled in a historical conspiracy web.
Join our heroine, Kelby Wade, to fight the baddies. As she tugs on a small thread, it unravels a vast conspiracy that causes a disaster for her loved ones. Kelby’s story is interlaced with Ana-María’s quest, so if you’re into time-slip, or if you enjoy a pinch of the supernatural, you’ll find it here.
Along with the heroines, you too could be chasing ancient remedies, searching through history to unravel its secrets, and discovering a mystery that could lead to a global phenomenon.

What Is A Beta Reader?
Wikipedia explains that beta readers are not proofreaders or editors. Instead, they can serve in that context. Elements highlighted by beta readers encompass things such as plot holes, problems with continuity, characterisation or believability; in fiction and non-fiction, the beta might also assist the author with fact-checking. Most novelists use beta readers to read their story before it goes into the editing process.
How Beta Reading Works
Firstly, I will send you a copy of the book prior to editing. This is so that I can gauge the strength of the plot, the likeablity of the characters and find out where any twists and turns may or may not work.
Please note that this is an unedited version simply because like most other novelists, I want to do a final edit before paying for the very expensive process of getting the book fully edited and proof read.
Secondly, when you're finished reading the book, I will ask you to complete a quick questionaire for me, giving me feedback on what you liked and didn't like, which characters you loved and hated and why and any comments. Some of these (the good ones, of course) may even end up on the back or front cover of the book.
Please pop over to my contact page and send me a little email telling me why you'd love to be a beta reader.
